What is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy, which means repair, is to make the functional disorders of the nervous, muscular, and skeletal systems, related to the musculoskeletal system, as functional as possible.
Long-Term Solutions with Physical Therapy
In physical therapy, the aim is to eliminate pain or partial immobility by activating the body's potential dynamics with external devices and exercises. Treatment techniques used for individuals who have lost or decreased bodily functions as a result of any trauma or illness are applied in sessions lasting 1 to 1.5 hours. Physical therapy, which lasts for 15 to 20 sessions, primarily aims to protect joints and reduce mechanical pain. Physical therapy, a method applied for pain caused by lumbar and cervical disc herniation and back pain, is not applied for non-mechanical pain, rheumatic pain, or pain originating from internal organs. Physical therapy is performed with tools such as traction, which is applied against dislocated joints and herniations; exercises that strengthen muscle structure; massages that soften stiffness; weak electrical current; and superficial and deep heaters. Physical therapy, which can be applied at any age, offers a safe treatment option for individuals because it is non-surgical.
