Gynecological Diseases and Breast Cancer
Symptoms of Breast Cancer
Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in women in our country and in the world. In fact, early diagnosis increases the success rate in breast cancer treatments, and the symptoms of this disease for women are breast pain, and masses and swelling detected in the breast. Inward retraction of the nipple and an orange peel appearance can also be counted among the symptoms of breast cancer.
Breast Cancer Treatment Methods
In the early stages of breast cancer, surgical interventions are performed where cancer cells are targeted and scraped away. Additional treatments, namely chemotherapy and radiotherapy, are also applied to all patients in this process. If it is a reproductive type of cancer and starts to spread to other organs, the breast may be removed. However, breast removal is the last resort treatment method. Women with breast cancer can perform self-examinations once a month to check for any swelling in the breast. Those with a genetic predisposition should have tests and examinations every 6 months.
